Having spent the best part of a month ignoring holiday adverts, we’ve finally decided we really ought to do something about planning for the summer. Currently, I’m thinking of somewhere in the warmer parts of France or Germany that offers bike hire (because it saves having to lug bicycles across Europe), its own swimming pool or lake, and is not too near a motorway or railway line.

Initial research suggests that Norfolk Lines could take us across the Channel and back for £66 or so whereas P&O would charge us rather more.

    The ferry is booked with Norfolk Line and we’ve booked a campsite in southern Bavaria. The Käseseminare sound interesting or, at least, the end product does.
