Skype and Application Enhancers

I have today downloaded Skype, partly and ironically because of an advert for a rival service. Sadly, I had nothing but strife trying to get the thing to work as the software crashed every single time I tried to log in.

Eventually, I tracked this down to the Application Enhancer. Once I had added Skype to APE‘s master exclude list, the problem was solved.

Okay, not an interesting post, but I hope it may prove useful to someone else.
