Finger and toe crossing pays off

We were a little surprised yesterday morning to be awoken by a courier who asked us to sign for a large parcel. The parcel turned out to contain an iBook G4, replacement for the G3 which keeled over a couple of weeks ago (and a couple of months ago, and a couple of quarters ago, etc.).

Two things surprised us about this: one is that Apple were actually very good about saying they would replace the G3 with a G4; the other is that they said it should take seven to ten working days. It took two.
