Well, I finished Excite
level today on the game of the moment with S-grades on all the races. Mastering air spins helped to eke out the final few points necessary on some of the tracks and discovering that Rad
has, to my taste at least, the right balance of air, grip, handling and speed helped me to nail the fifty-point winning bonuses.
The game continues to be the only racing game (other than 
Mario Kart 64) that Kate’s been willing to play against me more than once. What makes the two player split screen mode quite hard is that, even on a widescreen television, the view is narrower than I would like.

I’ve finally managed to complete the last of the Platinum races at Super Excite level. Without wanting to give too much away to those who haven’t done it yet, try the tree runs.
